The shuddering, vibrating
Warm lump
In my lap is a dear friend.

Rubbing headbutts, paws kneading,
Big cat
Shows me that he likes me.

Or at least that I feed him
Daily
And scratch his belly

When he flops over, asking
Pleading
That I shower him with attention.

I'm okay with that.
Happy
Cats are the best cats.
